Today a nice woman at the farmers market and I talked about how awesome the raspberries were. She shared that she had been coming for over 20 years. She shared memories of how things have changed with time. Then we talked about time and how fragile it is. How neither of us is sure if we have a tomorrow in us or not but that we have to just believe we do. We have to have faith. It was cool to see God show up like that.
It’s cool to feel like my life is truly a testimony: a resilience; an ongoing series of intentional behaviors. Mindfulness and spirituality have always gone together for me. Prayer however that one is newer.
I think it all started when I was so so anxious I needed something to focus on. So I did an advent and then the next year I did another one and I started just talking to God here and there. Praying for others instead of just for myself all the time. I began actually practicing the things I had been learning in the scriptures. Lo and behold my life has slowly become testimony to his work, to his love, to his plan.
One of my favorite pieces I read was the prayer to remember that I don’t have to have it all figured out because it is Gods love that wraps around us to hold us together when we are uncertain.
So this woman felt like God to me today. Radiant smiling sharing and enjoying. And. Y the way the raspberries were slamming yet again. As she said possibly the best season yet.
Hold on momma. Be authentic. Say hello. Embrace being alive.
