Holding on.

It’s the little things in life that truly matter the most and that goes both ways! My silly goose brightens my days and reminds me that I’m still learning life too; just like she is learning life.

I’m so grateful to learn with her. I am even glad I’m not perfect because what an impossibly high standard to live up to. I won’t pretend to be. I watched my mother among others go through all these little things for appearances. I can’t blame her. I just realized how much I wanted to live an authentic life.

Turns out that also meant turning my life into something I could share authentically and be proud of.

People want to know the whole story, but they don’t wanna hear it. They wanna judge it and correct it. They didn’t wanna be a safe space to be around to be a part of it and that’s ok. I have been there too.

So angry for my own conditions and circumstances that I couldn’t be happy for others. That I wanted them to pay for what they did. I couldn’t stand myself honestly. It’s not my job to police people in life or instill morals (except my kiddos) it’s not my job to correct the person speeding down the road, or the person wearing jeans that someone other than me defines as not age appropriate for them, to comment on the way someone body has changed (omg I am working on this one so hard. A lot of my friends are losing weight and I keep saying how great they look but that is JUST as much of a problem because honestly they have always been beautiful: they just look happier with themselves and I’m reinforcing weight has something to do with that: ick: I mean it does but I digress.)

Back to it’s not my job to do anything else other than take one day at a time, live by my values, and do the best I can to mind my own fucking business.
